Director's Message

Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital is functioning as a Government healthcare institution under the administrative control of the Health Department, Government of Bihar. In accordance with Government policy, the hospital has been developed as a Multispecialty Hospital with emphasis on Orthopedic Surgery and allied clinical services, aimed at strengthening secondary and tertiary level healthcare delivery.

The vision and mission of Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital are to function as a leading Government multispecialty healthcare institution providing equitable, affordable, and quality secondary and tertiary healthcare services, with particular strength in orthopedic care, and to deliver comprehensive multispecialty diagnostic, medical, surgical, and rehabilitative services in accordance with Government norms and standard treatment guidelines, while ensuring patient-centric, ethical, and safe medical care through evidence-based practices, continuous capacity building of healthcare personnel, optimal utilization of resources, and effective implementation of Health Department policies and programmes.

The hospital is mandated to provide healthcare services as per approved norms and standards. Continuous measures are being undertaken for upgradation of infrastructure, augmentation of medical and paramedical manpower, procurement of modern medical equipment, and strengthening of service delivery mechanisms in compliance with the directives of the Health Department. Emphasis is laid on quality assurance, patient safety, transparency, and efficient utilization of public resources.

As Director, I affirm that sustained efforts are being made to improve institutional performance and healthcare delivery in alignment with the objectives and policies of the Health Department, Government of Bihar, for the welfare of the general public.
